Boundaries Are a Form of Self-Respect
Many people say they want better self-care.
Few are willing to set boundaries.
Because boundaries feel uncomfortable.
You might disappoint someone.
You might look less agreeable.
You might have to say no.
But here is the truth:
Every time you override your limit, you train others to override it too.
Boundaries are not walls.
They are clarity.
Examples:
- “I’m not available for that this week.”
- “I need more notice.”
- “That doesn’t work for me.”
Notice how simple they are.
Self-care is not always soft. Sometimes it is firm.
Today, identify one place where your yes is costing you too much.
Replace it with a respectful no.
You will feel the shift immediately.
Say no to overwhelm. Say yes to intentional living.
with care,
Meerabai
